  Episode about concert pianist 1990's
Posted by: PF-fan - 10-19-2021, 05:09 PM - Forum: General Paul Harvey Discussion - Replies (1)

HI All...I remember hearing an episode in early 1990 that was about concert pianist.  Still remember it vaguely, but no idea about the title.
It might be older, but heard it about 1990-1.  Can anyone help with this.  Thanks!

Thank you for this website.
I've been looking for such a site for years now.
I know this may sound greedy, but there are several I have been trying to find.
The first is Paul Harvey's tribute to dads as told by him (a father goes through childbirth without anesthetic).
Another is his defense of the Innkeeper in Bethlehem.
He did another one where he pretended he was a reporter in Jerusalem and did an interview with Barabas on Holy Saturday.
Once again, thank you for your effort on the site.

Paul Harvey talk with his own son
Posted by: missouriupser - 09-25-2021, 01:46 PM - Forum: Requests Go Here - No Replies

I have wanted to find the episode where Paul Harvey talked with his son about how foolish it is to use profane language. I remember this one episode so much I want to hear it again and share with others. If anyone knows where it is on this archive please let me know!

  Looking for Texas UFO Story
Posted by: LibraryQuery - 09-15-2021, 05:46 PM - Forum: Requests Go Here - No Replies

Hello, anyone who happens to be reading.

I am looking for a Texas UFO story that Paul Harvey covered. Supposedly the UFO sighting took place in 1897 in Nederland TX. Supposedly Paul Harvey at least mentioned this sighting in a show.

If anyone could point me to the correct episode or file, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you!

Can you please post the story about Patsy Cline. It aired on Wednesday March 6, 1963, the morning after her plane crash.  I've read it, but I would love to hear it.  Thanks.  Brad.

4 Opry Stars Killed in Plane Crash

Paul Harvey News
March 6, 1963
Camden-“Three familiar voices are suddenly silent today. And, over an ugly hole on a Tennessee hillside, the heavens softly weep. No more mournful ballad was ever sung on the Grand Ole Opry than the one which was hammered out on the nation's newsprinters this morning.
“The Nashville Country Music stars Hawkshaw Hawkins and Cowboy Copas and Patsy Cline and her manager. They'd flown in a one lung Commanche to Kansas City for a benefit performance. For the benefit of the widow of a friend who'd been killed in a car wreck.
“And, they were returning to home base - Nashville, Tennessee. They'd refueled at Dyersburg. Some severe thunderstorms had been raking the area along the Tennessee River. At least one commercial airliner had detoured. Precisely what happened thereafter will be subject to conjecture forever. And, what terror there was toward the end we'll never know. But, there was no pain. When they found the plane this morning, it's engine had entered the earth straight down.
“Somebody will write a cow-country classic about this night ride to nowhere. Because hill folks are a sentimental lot. But, the highest compliment their eulogies are likely to include is that the somber citizens who converged this day on that ugly scar in the woodland where pieces of four bodies lay, that there are real tears in their whispered words. And, that they refer to each of the suddenly deceased by his or her first name.
“For none of them ever thought of Randy and the Cowboy, Hawkshaw and Patsy, any other way than as homefolks, kinfolks, friends.”

  Rare Paul Harvey Mistake

On a "Rest Of The Story" under the letter "M" titled: Michael Landon (javelin throwing), Paul either made a factual error or perhaps just uttered a slip of the tongue by saying that the subject was the star of the TV series' Little House On The Prairie and Stairway To Heaven.

I had to rewind and listen to it again to confirm that I had indeed heard correctly.

I chuckled.

God bless Paul Harvey.

The Paul Harvey archived recordings are great, but it would better I'd the file names were changed so as not to reveal the ending. Thanks.

  Unusual requirement for parole
Posted by: calicalicoqui@gmail.com - 08-18-2021, 07:59 PM - Forum: Requests Go Here - Replies (2)

I am looking for a story about a young lady who shot and killed her boyfriend. I don't remember her prison sentence, but the part that Paul Harvey mentioned was that as part of her parole conditions, she could not get a new boyfriend. If I remember correctly, she had to get the courts permission to start a romantic relationship. The crime was committed in about 1982 or 1983, so the broadcast must have been in the mid 1980s. It occurred in Saginaw, Michigan. I worked with her boyfriend and knew her through their relationship. I hope somebody out there can point me to that episode.

Looking for taxi driver mugger that got coat caught in door of taxi
Posted by: Tejasgal - 08-04-2021, 08:39 PM - Forum: Requests Go Here - No Replies

Looking for TROTS recording on: a cab driver in Lubbock, TX that was mugged at gunpoint, then when told by the mugger (who was getting out of the cab) to leave quickly, did, but the mugger's coat was caught in the door as it closed, and pulled off the mugger as the cab moved.  Police then found the gun in one pocket and the stolen $ in the other pocket.

Thanks for your help.

I am looking for a story that was aired in the 1990's or early 2000...about Otis the Dog, from Ridgefield, Washington, a story published in the Columbian Newspaper.  Can you help me find it?
